Spout Pouch Filling: Check Nozzle Clearance through the Full Motion
A spout pouch project needs a defined filling route.
Describe how filling happens
A spout pouch project needs a defined filling route. Some operations fill through an opening in the pouch; others use a fitment interface. When discussing Kaida’s spout pouch range, state the route your filler intends to use. A photograph of the finished cap does not show whether the filling equipment can reach, locate and release the empty pack.
Map the moving parts
For a fitment filling operation, ask the machine team to provide the nozzle envelope, locating surfaces and motion sequence. Include holders and neighboring components that may approach the pouch. Mark where the machine grips the fitment and where the flexible body hangs during the cycle. Dimensions should come from the equipment owner and proposed component drawings, with revisions identified so an old nozzle drawing cannot quietly govern a new setup.
Observe entry and withdrawal
Use representative empty pouches and the agreed filling setup for the interface trial. Watch approach, engagement, fill and withdrawal as separate steps. Record contact, pouch displacement, drips and any manual assistance needed. Keep the product and settings identifiable. If a nozzle adjustment is proposed, repeat the relevant cycle rather than judging fit from a stationary photograph. A successful engagement alone does not establish a clean withdrawal or a reliable subsequent closure operation.
Release the complete combination
Keep the pouch fitment, holder and nozzle versions together in the trial record. List unresolved interface questions before ordering production quantities. Share the observed contact points and drawing references with Kaida so proposed changes address a defined interference. When equipment or fitment changes later, the buyer can revisit the affected motion instead of assuming that the same nominal spout size guarantees the same filling behavior.
