Premade Pouch Feeders: Define the Stack Refill Orientation
A premade pouch trial may begin with a carefully arranged feeder and end before the operator refills it.
Include the next stack
A premade pouch trial may begin with a carefully arranged feeder and end before the operator refills it. For a Kaida pouch project, include a routine replenishment in the trial. The question is whether staff can transfer the supplied stack into the actual feeder with the intended orientation and without losing the reference used during setup.
Show the stack from the operator’s view
Ask the equipment owner to identify the required pouch face, opening direction and stack arrangement. Photograph the loaded feeder from the normal operator position and label the reference. Compare it with the way empty pouches are bundled for delivery. If a transfer requires rotation or separation, describe that step explicitly rather than relying on a phrase such as front side up that could be interpreted from several viewpoints.
Trial the replenishment step
Use production-like bundles and follow the filler’s operating procedure. Observe how the operator identifies the next stack, removes its protection and transfers it to the feeder. Record inverted units, mixed orientations or handling that requires repeated adjustment. Keep the pouch version and machine settings identifiable. Any movement near operating equipment should follow the site’s established procedure; the packaging review should not invent a shortcut to keep the trial running.
Release a usable refill reference
Retain photographs of the supply bundle and loaded feeder together with the approved replenishment steps. Discuss any needed bundle identification with Kaida and confirm that it matches the actual delivery arrangement. When a pouch format or feeder changes, repeat the relevant transfer check. The line then has a practical reference for an ordinary recurring task, extending the trial beyond the first carefully prepared stack.
