Rice and Heavy-Product Bags: Start with the Load and Handling Route
A heavy-product bag brief starts with filled load, carrying points, stacking and filling-line handling.
Kaida Group includes rice and heavy-product packaging in its product range. For this category, the first question is how the filled bag moves through the business. A pack may be lifted on a filling line, stacked in a warehouse, carried by a retailer and opened in a kitchen. Put those actions into the brief before choosing dimensions or artwork.
Specify the filled load
State the exact product, target net weight and size variation. Describe whether the contents settle, contain hard pieces or create dust during filling. Fill a rough bag with the real product and measure its final height, width and depth. The flat bag size is less useful than the shape and weight of the filled unit.
List the acceptable carton size and number of packs per carton. If the bag will be displayed without an outer carton, include the shelf or floor space it must occupy. A larger front panel may help retail visibility but can also change how the filled bag stands and packs.
Map every lift and seal
Describe how the bag is presented to the filler, supported during filling and moved to the closing station. Mark where operators or machines grip it. If the customer will carry the bag by a handle or other feature, specify the intended grip and the distance it will be carried.
Ask the technical team to review the closure and any proposed carry feature on a filled sample. Use the same handling path that the pack will meet in production and distribution. Note any stacking pattern, pallet height or repeated handling steps relevant to your project.
Leave room for practical information
Place the product name, net contents, storage directions, barcode and destination-market information on an actual-size layout. Mark any surface that may fold or be hidden when the bag is filled or stacked. Check whether the opening directions remain visible when the customer sets the bag down.
Send product samples, target load, filled-size limit, line details, handling route and artwork outline to Kaida Group. Review the proposed pack filled, lifted, stacked and opened before approving a final format.
