Kaida Group lists a [custom shaped zip-lock pouch](https://www.kaidapackaging.com/Custom-Printed-Ziplock-Mylar-Shaped-Pouch-food-grade-for-Food-Packaging-Bag-pd569226148.html?ref=kaidapackaging.ghost.io). A distinctive outline can help a product stand out, but the cutline has to leave enough room for the product, the seals, the opening and the line that fills it. The best first drawing shows both the intended shape and the working areas.

## Begin with the filled product envelope

Provide the real product, target fill and maximum filled thickness. Draw the smallest rectangle that comfortably contains the filled product, then explore where the outer silhouette can change without squeezing the contents. Mark any point where a curve, narrow neck or corner might interfere with filling or removal.

Decide whether the pack will stand, hang or lie flat in retail. Test the proposed outline in its actual display orientation with product inside. A shape that reads clearly as a flat graphic may look different after filling. If multiple sizes use the same silhouette, check the smallest and largest versions together.

## Protect working space

Indicate the fill opening, final seal, first-open path and zipper location. Share the filling equipment and how it grips the pouch. Ask the packaging team for a dieline that separates the decorative edge from the areas needed for sealing and product access.

Cut a simple physical mock-up and have the operations team use it. The test can reveal whether the unusual outline slows presentation to the filler or makes the finished pack difficult to pack into a carton.

## Place information on the assembled shape

Reserve legible areas for brand, product name, net contents, barcode and market-required text. Avoid important words in narrow points or along irregular cut edges. Print an actual-size proof, fill the mock-up and check it from the shopper's viewing distance.

Send the product, shape sketch, line details and artwork priorities to [Kaida Group](https://www.kaidapackaging.com/contactus.html?ref=kaidapackaging.ghost.io) for a cutline and sample review.
