A pet food range may share a pouch shape while feeding tables, flavor names and age cues change from SKU to SKU. Kaida lists pet food packaging among its applications. The buyer's challenge is to keep the correct instruction readable on the pack that will actually be filled, folded, boxed and displayed—not merely on a flat artwork PDF.

## Define the inputs

Create an information map for each SKU before art approval. List the product identity, feeding table, storage wording, batch code area and any regulated text, along with the owner who approves each item. Compare the smallest and largest pack sizes. A table that works on the large front panel may need a deliberate layout on the smaller pouch instead of a uniform scale reduction.

## Test the proposed pack

Print a full-size proof and place it on a filled sample. Check legibility near gussets, folds, seals and any handle or zipper. Ask a reviewer unfamiliar with the design to find the species, life stage and feeding instructions. If they pick the wrong panel or read the wrong variant, fix hierarchy or position before color proofing becomes the focus.

## Resolve the design question

Plan coding at the same time. Mark the exact area where the production line will add date and lot details, then trial the code on the real substrate and finish. A glossy or textured panel can change readability. Keep the code clear of text that the consumer needs to read, and define how the packing line confirms the correct film roll for the SKU.

## Release the decision

Release an approved art file and filled reference pack for each variant. The sign-off record should tie feeding copy, barcode, pack size and print file to one SKU code. That makes later formula or instruction changes traceable and helps prevent an attractive but mismatched pack from reaching the line.
