A frozen-food range may use the same graphics across single and family portions, but the two pack sizes behave differently in the freezer and at home. Kaida lists frozen food packaging as an application. The buyer should plan the range as connected designs while qualifying each filled size against its own carton, shelf and opening conditions.

## Define the inputs

Create a matrix for fill weight, product dimensions, bag dimensions, case count and consumer use. Identify which artwork elements must stay consistent and which need a different layout on the smaller pouch. A top seal or tear notch scaled from the family bag may not give the small pack an easy grip. Show real filled samples to the design team.

## Test the proposed pack

Run filled handling and opening checks on both sizes. Put each size into its planned retail case and follow the expected cold route. Inspect seals, abrasion, stack stability and date-code readability. Ask a user to open each pack after storage, since a design that is convenient on a full family bag may be difficult on a tight single portion.

## Resolve the design question

Compare results by size rather than averaging them into one approval. If only the larger bag scuffs, review case load and contact points; if only the smaller bag tears poorly, review its opening geometry. Keep product, material and artwork versions identified so a change in one SKU does not quietly alter the other.

## Release the decision

Release a shared visual range guide plus a separate technical reference for each size. Purchasing can then order the correct construction and cartons, while brand teams can extend the range without assuming identical performance from differently filled pouches.

Do not let common branding obscure the separate size codes. Each production order should name the exact pack, carton and artwork combination approved for that portion.
